Why analytics numbers differ
Compare like with like before changing your page.
How it works
A page view, a unique visitor, a session, a block impression and a link click answer different questions. One person can open your page several times, see only some blocks, and tap more than one link. Check the metric name and date range before comparing totals.
Your knit.bio dashboard and third-party tools such as GA4 or Meta Pixel may disagree. Browser blockers, consent choices, hidden app referrers, different time zones and different definitions can all change counts. The optional third-party integrations currently send page views; they do not automatically send every knit.bio link click or checkout event.
When a campaign looks wrong, first open your published page in a private browser window and test the link. Then compare the same dates, page, and metric in each report. A missing click in an ad platform is not by itself proof that the link failed.
Set it up
- 1
Match the time period
Set the same dates and note the reporting time zone used by each tool.
- 2
Match the event
Compare page views with page views, or inspect knit.bio link clicks on their own. Do not compare a visit count directly with a purchase count.

Test the visitor path
Open the public page, tap the promoted link, and confirm the destination works before changing campaign settings.
