Google Analytics 4
Track visitors, traffic sources, and engagement on your public page.
How it works
Your Measurement ID (G-XXXXXXXXXX) is saved to your account and injected as the official gtag.js snippet on every visit to every one of your public pages.
It initializes the Google tag and sends page-view data to your GA4 property. The ID is validated when you save it and before it is rendered. knit.bio does not currently send every block click, form submission, or purchase as a GA4 event through this integration.
How it flows
Set it up
- 1
Open your GA4 web stream
In Google Analytics, go to Admin → Data streams and open your website stream.
analytics.google.com - 2
Copy the Measurement ID
It starts with G- (for example, G-ABCD1234).
- 3
Paste and save
In Settings → Integrations → Google Analytics, paste the ID, click Connect, and keep "Auto-inject on public pages" on.

Tips to get the most out of it
- Use GA4 to inspect traffic sources and page views, then compare with knit.bio’s own link and block analytics for click behavior.
- If GA4 shows no visits, check the Measurement ID, published page, browser consent or blockers, and GA4 Realtime before drawing conclusions.
- Define additional GA4 conversion events separately if your campaign needs them; a page-view tag alone does not record a purchase.
